How Much Does It Cost to Build a Startup? Karol Zielinski karolzielinski.com @KarolZielinski
Yeah, I know one startup does not equal another startup.
But let’s say you want to build more or less a typical web business, web startup.
In such case your costs could be split into…
1 Costs of having a company
Accountancy $300 per month should be enough
Lawyers one-time cost of $500 should be enough
Other costs let say $100 per month
2 Costs of building the product/tool
Let’s say you are the business/product guy and you have a co-founder that is able to code
Graphic designer one-time cost of $1000
Front-end developer/webmaster one-time cost of $700
3 Costs of production environment
Domain one-time cost of $5
Server $20 per month
The other costs?
No, there’s no place for other costs.
You don’t need to travel and attend conferences at this stage

You don’t need to travel and attend conferences at this stage You don’t need to buy other SaaS services at this stage. You don’t need to hire more people at this stage
You just need to focus on building your product. And only on this.
Let say you’re going to build your startup in half a year.
Let’s sum up all of that…
($300*6) + $500 + ($100*6) + $1000 + $700 + $5 + $20
A lot or not?
You are able to invest such an amount of money on your own, without raising money from an investor.
