Entrance to the Upper Canyon.
The canyon is situated on Navajo Tribal Land near Page, Arizona.
Patches of dark and light colour of lichen on the rock.
The red colour of the rocks was due to the presence of iron oxides in the rock.
The Antelope Canyon includes two separate slot canyons - the Upper Antelope Canyon and the Lower Antelope Canyon.
The Wolf Head, the protruding rock on the right.
The presence of manganese oxides in the rocks cause the blue and purple hues. Blue sky also gives the rocks a blue tint.
The Horse Head, the protruding rock on the left.
Years of flash floods shape the walls into undulating wave-like surfaces of the canyon.
